There's nothing like taking off on a quiet day into that low overcast, flying and landing with out ever seeing the ground! The feeling is absolutely amazing when you break out of those clouds and see that beautifully lit runway lined up right in-front of you. WOW!Getting your Instrument will also allow you to fly the airplane with greater precision and accuracy. You'll learn advanced concepts and techniques that'll make flying even easier and more enjoyable. As an instrument pilot, you can fly any of the Cessna or Piper aircraft we offer. If your goal is the airlines, we also offer Technologically Advanced Aircraft (The Cessna 182) that offer the Garmin Glass Cockpit, autopilot and a number of other features that'll be sure to get you ready for the big boys. If speed and comfort are your thing, train in the Piper Arrow, that way you can also get your complex endorsement! There are really a multitude of options that you can choose from, if you are still pondering which is right for you, feel free to contact one of our advisors who would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
In case you were wondering....here's a breakdown of the average cost for our instrument course. We use one of our more advanced Cessna 172's that have a Garmin 430 with WAAS technology for training. We strongly feel that giving you a more advanced plane will greatly outweigh the extra cost in certification. We've included 40 hours of instruction in this cost, however you can save money by sometimes flying with a safety pilot (a Private Pilot or better who can act as Pilot In Command). Also, check out some of our other money saving tips here.
